Frühburgunder Hommage Grosses Gewächs Walporzheimer Pfaffenberg

$86.80 incl. GST

An exquisite drop! Our signature red wine and “pièce de résistance of German red wine excellence!

The weathered slate soils of Walporzheim’s steep (70%) slopes force the mountain’s aged vines to dig deep to nourish this rare, early ripening Pinot Noir variant from the Ahr Valley.
Dry-aged in an oak barrique for up to 18 months, delicate and complex, with fine aromas of black cherries and ripe wild berries, this “Pinot Noir Précoce” exudes a warm, fine-spicy body with well-integrated tannins and acidity, and a hint of vanilla on the fruit-rich palate.
This multi-award winning wine is, without doubt, an exceptional example of one of the rarest red grape varieties in the world, and a specialty of the Ahr Valley and Brogsitter’s award-winning cellar masters.
